You already know the Salsabol can clean up spilled salsa, but did you know it can clean up the ocean too?
The ocean gives us waves, wind, rain, snow, and all kinds of other incredible joys. Whenever we’re not working, there’s a good chance we’re outside in nature enjoying the ocean either directly or indirectly, whether it be going for a surf or heading to the mountains to ride the snow borne from open ocean storms hundreds of miles away.
It's a big part of our lives, and that's why we're proud to donate 1% of our proceeds to Oceana, an international aid organization whose sole purpose is the posterity and protection of the world’s oceans. We’d try to summarize their mission, but we think they say it best:
“We look to a future in which dolphin sightings are common along any temperate coast; in which mighty marlins, sharks and tuna are abundant once again; in which whales and sea turtles thrive, cod are plentiful on both sides of the Atlantic, local fishing cultures thrive rather than decline and in which fish are a safe, growing and plentiful source of food around the world.
Oceans cover 71 percent of the globe and they are as important to us as they are vast. Not only do they control our climate, they are an essential source of protein for nearly half the people of the world. They drive our economies. For millions of sailors, swimmers and vacationers of all stripes, they offer a refuge from the metal and concrete [ed: and ceramic] that encase our working lives.”
We’re proud to donate 1% of all our revenue to Oceana, and we’re stoked to be able to give back so we can keep riding waves, sailing the seas, and shredding the gnar.Visit their website to see how you can help preserve our magnificent oceans for generations to come!
